your environment dictates your success, change it before you try to change yourself
taking action in the right direction with the right people is the fastest way to grow, everything else is theater
walk and swim a lot, that’s when realistic goals and clarity actually show up, not at your desk
everything outside of business (relationships, health, hobbies) has dramatic impact on the business itself, never neglect them
you’ll never be satisfied with what you have, every milestone just unlocks the next one, so fix goals that aren’t tied to money or anything you can buy
do that trip in asia, open your eyes to a whole new world, it might genuinely change your life
you’re harder on yourself than your customers are, people understand shit happens, very few mistakes are actually deal breakers
you can deal with anyone if you build genuine relationships and get on calls a lot
every business goes through hypergrowth phases followed by maintenance work, don’t fall asleep during the second one
when a real opportunity shows up, you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot to fully benefit from it
your only hires should be acquisition specialists and top 1% people in very specific fields, you want to grow fast but with talent, because most won’t be up to the task
saturated markets don’t exist, only saturated approaches do
everyone can be good at sales, all it takes is making calls and understanding humans
just do more than your competition: more volume, more leads, more quality
get a lawyer and an accountant early, if you’re not trained for this it kills your momentum every 3 months
listen to everyone’s advice, then throw most of it away
burnout isn’t from working hard, it’s from working on things that don’t matter to you
your first version of the business will be wrong, build it anyway, you can’t think your way to clarity, you have to ship your way there
the people who quit right before it works are the majority, not the minority, that’s exactly why it works for the few who stay
nobody is coming to save you, no investor, no mentor, no algorithm, you have to be the one who moves first every single time
systems beat motivation, motivation dies on a bad day, systems don’t care how you feel
your network is your net worth, but only the people who tell you the truth, not the ones who clap for everything you post
write down 3 things you’re avoiding right now, that’s usually where the growth is hiding
audit who you spend the most time with, they’re either pulling you up or holding you at their level
block your calendar for deep work before checking any message, reactive days kill proactive growth
track leading indicators (calls made, offers sent) not just lagging ones (results), you can control the first one daily
review your last 5 mistakes, you’ll notice they all had the same root cause, fix the root not the symptom
nobody tells you that building something real is mostly boring. it’s not launches and wins, it’s showing up on the days you don’t want to, fixing the same problem for the fifth time, and staying calm when everything feels like it’s falling apart. the people who “make it” aren’t smarter, they just didn’t stop when it got repetitive. the algorithm loves the highlight reel but the highlight reel isn’t the job, the boring middle part is the job, and almost everyone quits during the boring middle part.
pick one problem you keep avoiding and solve it this week, not someday
find 5 people doing what you want to do, study their patterns not their highlights
set one goal that has nothing to do with money, chase that instead
get outside daily, walk without your phone, let your brain actually think
talk to one new person in your industry this week, relationships compound faster than any strategy
none of this works without consistency. the lessons are simple, the execution is not. protect your environment, move fast with good people, take care of yourself outside of work, and give it more time than feels comfortable. that’s the whole game.
