Courtney Aslin Wins Stoddard County Clerk Election

Courtney Aslin won the Republican nomination for Stoddard County Clerk in the Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Primary Election, securing more than 70 percent of the vote in the county’s only contested Republican county race.

A total of 5,691 ballots were cast from Stoddard County’s 19,607 registered voters, resulting in a 29.03% voter turnout.

In the race for Stoddard County Clerk, Aslin received 3,314 votes, or 70.15%, defeating Larry Sandage, who received 1,410 votes.

Following the election results, Aslin offered an emotional message of gratitude to the voters and supporters who helped carry her campaign to victory.

“Thank you, Stoddard County,” Aslin stated. “You’ve got my commitment, my experience, my dependable leadership, protection of election integrity, and practical improvements that make county services work better for everyone.”

Aslin also thanked those who supported her and her family throughout the campaign.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me, prayed for my family, greeted us with a smile, and believed in the message of experience, dedication, and service,” she said.

Aslin said she was humbled by the confidence voters placed in her and pledged to continue working on behalf of Stoddard County residents.

“Tonight I am humbled by the trust Stoddard County has placed in me,” Aslin stated. “I want you to know that I will continue working hard for every citizen in our county. I will keep proving myself each and every day as your newly elected county clerk.”

She emphasized that accessibility, honesty and integrity will remain priorities as she moves forward.

“Stoddard County, you believed in me, and I will not let you down,” Aslin said. “This office belongs to the people, and my door will always be open. I will serve with honesty, integrity, and the same commitment that brought me to this moment.”

Aslin also recognized her opponent and thanked him for participating in the election.

“I also want to thank Mr. Sandage for being a worthy opponent and for participating in this process,” she said. “Our community is stronger when people are willing to step forward and serve.”

Aslin closed her election-night message by once again thanking Stoddard County residents for their support.

“From my family to yours, thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” she stated. “May God continue to bless Stoddard County, our families, and this great nation.”
