Elohim — The Creator God
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

The very first name of God in your Bible is Elohim. Before there was a covenant, before there was a nation, before there was anything at all, there was Elohim — and He created the heavens and the earth. Everything you can see, and everything you can’t, came from this name.
But there’s something hidden in the Hebrew that I love. Elohim is a plural word used in the singular form. Plural, yet one. What is plural but in singular form? The Three in One. The Trinity. From the very first verse of Scripture, God is telling us that He has never been alone. There is a relationship moving between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — perfect love, perfect unity, perfect order — from before the beginning.
And that changes everything about who you are. Because when Elohim stamped His image on mankind, He gave us not just the ability but the necessity to have relationships. That’s why God looked at Adam and said it is not good that man should be alone. You were made by a relational God, for relationship — with Him first, and then with the people He has placed around you.
Notice, too, that the relationships inside the Godhead are ordered. The Son submits Himself to the Father, yet He is no less great, no less important — He has a name that is above every name. That means you can take your God-given place in God’s order and lose nothing of your worth. Following is not slavery. Leading is not domination. Both are reflections of a God who has been in loving, ordered relationship for all eternity.
This is exactly where the enemy attacks. The spirit of identity confusion wants to set your identity against created order — to convince you that God’s design for you is up for negotiation, that you must invent yourself, define yourself, construct yourself. Our whole culture preaches that sermon every single day. But you cannot build an identity more solid than the one your Creator already gave you. The world says, “Become whoever you want.” Elohim says, “I already made you — in my image, after my likeness — and I don’t make mistakes.”
So today, ask yourself an honest question: is there any place in my life where I’m fighting God’s order instead of living inside it? In my family? In my church? In how I see myself? So many people want the promises of God while running outside the order of God, and then they wonder why the blessing isn’t landing. We want the biblical reward — that means we do it the Bible way.
Take a moment and thank Elohim for how He made you. Not the you that culture says you should manufacture — the you He spoke into being, fearfully and wonderfully made, stamped with the image of the Three in One. When you rest in the Creator’s design, you’re not limiting yourself. You’re finally standing on ground that can hold your weight.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are Elohim, the Creator God — the Three in One who made the heavens and the earth and made me in Your image. Lord, I confess that there are times I fight Your order instead of living inside it. Father, deliver me from every spirit of confusion, and help me to rest in who You made me to be. Let my family and my relationships reflect Your loving order. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration: Elohim made me in His image, and He does not make mistakes. I live inside my Creator’s order, and I will not be confused about who He made me to be. Every spirit of confusion has no jurisdiction in my life, because I am His
