Hello again. I’ve been hard at work. Picking out a walking stick gnarled just the right amount. Practicing walking with my two left feet. Did I mention last time that I seem to have two left feet? A grave mix-up at the factory when someone was eating a sandwich while choosing my legs. Much more interested in the ham and cheese than how I might walk into my future.
No matter. I’ve never met another bear whose feet both point in the same direction, so I guess I’m unique in all the world. The walking stick is essential to holding me upright on outdoor excursions, unless I’m taking the backpacking route.
It’s nice to take a break sometimes and ride in style. But, as I said, I recently got to choose a walking stick for trekking in the jungle forest looking for my kin.
I didn’t find any other bears, but I did find a log to climb. And I did find a HUGE mushroom (that’s me in the first picture up above after I yelled at the top of my whisper-plush voice - GOT ONE!). Bears don’t eat mushrooms, silly. But that one looked like it would make an ample drinking cup for the faeries.
We left it there and went into the warm indoors to sip cocoa and dry our fur. Hibernation came next. Ooof. Trekking with no leg bones while wearing two left legs and two left feet really takes it out of a little bear.
Until next time. I hope your legs are on straight and you have all the forest walks you want - and no big live bear encounters - have you seen the teeth on those things??
Journal Prompt: Should adults adopt plush bears in need and take them on adventures?
If you answered no, you need more whimsy in your life, and you are assigned an extra prompt: WHY NOT?
If you answered yes, good for you! They are always available at Loved Before, London. They ship everywhere!
