I don’t know about you, but I love having my things in check.
I love having an overview of everything and everyone.
Why? Because it makes me feel safe.
Yet over time, as I grew disconnected from the actual feeling of safety, control became not just something I enjoyed, but something I craved.
My medicine became meeting the need behind the control.
Instead of judging myself to the grave, I chose to look at it through a lens of curiosity and understanding.
One important realisation: feelings are not something external.
They live in the body – and the same goes for the feeling of safety.
In my experience, there are two ways to connect with a feeling:
