One year ago, we launched this campaign for U.S. Senate.
These past 365 days have been quite a journey. I’ve traveled all across Ohio and heard stories from big cities, small towns, and rural communities.
I heard it from veterans in Jackson, small business owners in Cleveland, and the farmer in Glenford who’s struggling to make ends meet due to rising diesel costs. The details change. The truth doesn’t.
I’ve heard the same thing over and over again: The system is more rigged than ever before, and hardworking people are getting screwed.
Here’s what we’ve built since that first day:
We caught up with local faith and business leaders who are watching their communities get squeezed…
We heard from our farmers in Youngstown about how reckless tariffs are affecting their work…
We kicked off the race to the general election with folks in Cleveland who are fired up and ready to see change…
It’s been a year of showing up for Ohioans everywhere – in local businesses, on factory floors, and at kitchen tables all across Ohio. Because through every phase of this campaign, one thing hasn’t changed: Life hasn’t gotten easier for the people who make this state work.
Groceries, gas, and utility rates have gone up, and the people responsible (like my opponent) are passing the blame onto Ohioans.
It’s infuriating, but nothing about that is an accident.
One year ago, I made a promise to Ohioans: that someone would finally fight for them instead of the people who’ve been cashing in at their expense. I’m not backing off that promise now. We’re just getting started.
But I can’t do it without you. One year ago, we saw an incredible show of enthusiasm and passion and desire for a better future. So today, on the one year anniversary of our launch date, I’m asking you to show up again.
