NBA Free agency is less than 24 hours old and the Boston Celtics wasted no time bolstering its roster with a pair of deals that upgrade two of their most pressing needs: play-making and size.
Boston has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with veteran point guard Mike Conley Jr. that’s worth the veteran’s minimum of $3.9 million.
The Celtics were also able to nab ex-New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson, who has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $47 million deal.
Here’s why these two deals not only strengthen the Celtics’ roster, but will once again keep Boston in the conversation as a top-tier team in the East.
