Hello Sweetie.

I did it. It only took 15 times of recording and editing to get it done, but my first YouTube video is up, and I’m proud of it. Do I make silly faces? Yep. Can you see my double chin? Yep. Did I pull up my big girl knickers and get it done? Also, yep.

I’ve decided to start with there will be a video every Thursday. I just need to figure out how to work my books in there organically without people thinking I’m just trying to sell them my books. Because if anyone knows I don’t push my books out there enough, it has to be y’all.

If you do YouTube please like and subscribe so the algorithm will start recommending the video to strangers.

Some of you may know that I’ve been dealing with a variety of different chronic illnesses for a very long time. Well, I have a new one to add to the list:

Hypermobile EDS

From what I can tell, it is a genetic condition that you are born with. So, I’ve always had it, just now I know I need to do specific things to keep it in check.

If any of you have this, please leave me a comment or shoot me an email with your biggest tip on dealing with it.

(Pretty sure this was my face when the Rheumatologist was explaining it to me.)

For the fun part … Editing the Somerset Series

Thank you to everyone who reached out after my last newsletter to let me know they support my decision to go closed-door. It is something I have struggled with for a long time but was too afraid to actually do. Not because I think it is wrong, or I don’t like to read it, just because it is so darn hard for me to write it.

Over the holidays, I started working with my editor to edit out the spicy scenes and the cussing. So far, Scarlett is done, and Sophie is in progress. Don’t worry if you already own a copy. The story will be the same, just changing those two things.

I haven’t forgotten about the next book in the Love in The Woods Series. Sugar Moon is coming along nicely. Mainly because Zoey isn’t fighting falling for Serlo. She doesn’t feel the need to make him jump through hoops, mainly because he is there to protect her every time she turns around — and that is something she has been wishing for.

That is all I have for this quiet Monday.

xx

PS. If you have a Rom-Com you love please leave me a note here. I’ll add it to my TBR and have something to chat about in the videos. (Any genre, any spice level.)
