Hello Sweeties,
Remember when I told you I’m going to do a 180-day challenge to make my life a little more magical? In my last post I explained that I need to do better with my writing and my housekeeping. At that particular point in time didn’t plan to burn everything down just create a better system and daily rituals to help keep me on track.
I was wrong.
I’m burning it down.
Well, technically I already have.
My original plan for my books was to change the covers, take out the spice, update the descriptions and keep trucking forward. Instead, I took down all the books, changed series names, changed the titles, and removed the spice. Now they are going back up on a monthly release schedule to get the attention of people who haven’t found my stories yet.
The first story going out is Scarlett’s Bossy Bear. Some of you have grabbed the ARC but I have about 15 more e-copies that are available. I would love to get some early reviews when the book goes live on August 4, so this is the link to the last ARC copies. Make sure to grab a copy if you want to help out this little indie author.
One of the things that I have been working on is a new feature for the blog.
In my world of Rent-A-Which there is a head office. It’s similar to other corporate offices; there is a President, a VP of Franchising, a VP of Training, a human relations department, and a marketing department.
Why do you care about the corporate office of the Rent-A-Witch agency? Because in pair of small offices, near the library, far from the lobby and prying eyes are two very important witches … the Mistress of Minor Misfortunes and the Madam of Major Mishaps. When Rent-A-Witch first opened they both worked in HR where they took turns answering complaints or questions from clients. Eventually they realized there were a lot of the same questions and created a column on the company’s website.
Over the last two years as Rent-A-Witch has grown and begun franchising new locations the column has evolved from an information source to an advice column that receives letters not only from witches but all kinds of magical beings currently living on Earth. And these two ladies were promoted from human resources to their current roles.
Luckily, they agreed to let me post some of the articles from their archive here for my readers to enjoy. But remember, with great magic comes great responsibility. Use what you learn with a dash of common sense and a dollop of whimsy.
That is all for today! Leave me a comment if you grab a copy of the ARC or preorder a copy of Scarlett’s Bossy Bear!
xx
P.S. Want to know where my preorder realties are going this month? To repair my leaky roof, the attic it leaked into, the first-floor walls it dribbled down, and then the basement ceiling it streamed through. Not to mention the tv, sound bar, and switch that were all flooded.
