From April to June, our community programmes continued to make a meaningful difference across the landscapes where we work. During the quarter, the SWT-supported school lunch feeding programme provided nutritious meals to 18,254 children across 80 schools, while our dedicated education bus hosted 20 field trips, giving 600 children the opportunity to experience a day on safari in Tsavo.

In June, the Aerial Unit flew 255 hours and covered 34,860 kilometres — the busiest month of the year so far. The dry season was firmly establishing itself across much of Tsavo. Against this backdrop, June was an exceptionally active month across every dimension of the Unit's work including law enforcement, veterinary support, wildlife rescue, human–wildlife conflict, and two civilian rescues.
