Seedless Fruits... What's the deal?

The world of seedless fruit has been a topic of discussion since the day humans first got their hands on it. And the argument of what it is and should be has always been a point of contention.

The seedless fruit sitting in your kitchen today cant reproduce, which means its existence sits in the very hands of those who gave it life.

Every navel orange you’ve ever eaten was a clone, an exact match as the first one ever discovered and eaten on a plantation in Bahia, Brazil in the early 1800s. A single branch, a single mutation, from a single tree. Every single navel orange since that very point has come from a cutting of that tree or from a cutting of a cutting of a cutting going all the back to the original branch. The tree cant produce seeds and has no way of producing seeds, so without being cloned it would’ve inevitably died on that planation 200 years ago, end of story.
