Hi All
Due to a truckload of circumstances (or a sadistic bet between immortals to mess up her life), Erica has stepped back from The Serial Hour. It’s not something either of us wanted, but she has rightfully prioritised her sanity and her family over this Substack.
She has given me permission to write Heck’s part for the rest of the story, and I will publish the serial on a fortnightly basis moving forward. Since this is also a podcast, I’m exploring the possibility of reading each episode aloud from Chapter 1, so people can enjoy it as an audiobook. I also want to dive into the history behind some of the scenes, both from the 18th century and earlier Celtic and Norse lore.
Erica remains the co-author of the Harmonic Saga (it would not exist without her), and the door is open for her to return in the future. Working with her has been fast and furious fun at times, and there was never a lack of creative spark. It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to do so.
