Finally felt well enough to polish and publish the first of two EPs - hoping to have the second part out by the end of the year, but we’ll see! I’m just glad to have this chunk done. Pretty explicitly about dissociation; planning to have the second part lean more into plurality and experiences around that.

Interest check for a community-made plurality zine

bright-system : Microsoft Forms Hello all! We’re looking to put together a zine made with contributions from Tumblr’s plurality community. The idea is that each edition will focus on a general topic area, and people will contribute their own pieces that fit into that topic. Contributions can be whatever you can make - art, essays, poetry, humour, just some regular prose on the topic,…

MultiThread v1.0

If you’ve wanted to make your own DIY plural blogging page and you’re comfortable poking the command line (and, optionally, poking JSON or CSS), then you’re in luck- this project gives you a command line-based way to quickly add blog posts to an HTML file of your choosing. Each post can be made under an arbitrary name and profile picture. There are no centralized accounts or…

Switching

Switching ALT Switching is the process of changing who controls your system’s body, mind, or other central resources. A switch can be voluntary or involuntary, and controlling and managing switching is a learnable skill. Switching isn’t a universal plural experience, but when systems do switch, they might experience it in a variety of different ways. It doesn’t always feel like…

This is a really interesting way to map yourselves- we might have to try something like it…

“Stratosphere”

spacegauze : “ Stratosphere ”

Hey there! Would you happen to know of any good resources/have any advice for navigating consent when it comes to intra-system sexual contact? 99% of our system so far have had no sexual or romantic interest in each other whatsoever, so we are kind of flummoxed by the new guy who showed up out of nowhere a few days ago who seems to want that very much. We don’t know him very well yet and we have a sneaking suspicion he may be asking this as a form of self-harm, but we also know it can be incredibly frustrating to have somebody ignore your loud point-blank consent because they’re assuming you must just be too traumatized to mean it etc. Obviously (to us, at least) the way to go is ‘hold off for now, communicate, and be cautious’–we’re not opposed to exploring this with him if it *isn’t* going to hurt him–but harm OCD is a rat bastard, and especially so when you’re operating in a space like the inside of your head where it’s harder to maintain concrete boundaries even when you’re trying. Any advice you’ve got would be much appreciated!

I'm in agreement personally that taking it slow is a good call, but I'm also seeing some missed communication here. Have you actually asked him directly about his interest in sex or intimacy? You might have reason to assume that it could be self-harm from your perspective, but he might geniunely just be a horny guy. It does happen sometimes. Have you told him that you're worried it could be a form…

A lot of people in our inbox ask whether their experiences are normal.

slightly-sigilant : semiplural : A lot of people in our inbox ask whether their experiences are normal. First: Normal does not equal good or bad, healthy or disordered. Normal means that something is accepted or statistically common for a given population . It doesn’t make an experience more or less real. It just means you might see it more or less often. Second: Normal is relative.…

hello! potential questioning plural here. i’ve been trying to learn about my potential… uh, headmate, i guess (until we find a better term) by trying to ask a few questions. i’m interrupted a lot in my mind before i can finish asking the question, though, which i found a little odd? at first i thought it was because i had already come up with the ideal answer in my head (they’re quite neutral on most things, so i haven’t really been getting any “surprising” or “unwanted” answers), but i’m beginning to wonder if it’s because we kinda share the same thought space? like, i have to internally think of the question before i can put into my internal dialogue, so maybe they’re able to access that thought process to find out what i’m going to say before i say it? i thought most headmates were usually completely separate people with different thought processes, but i’m beginning to realize that it’s actually just one big spectrum of experiences. just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

We interrupt each other constantly , especially folks who have very good contact with each other. We've even done it out loud a few times. If your headmate interrupting you makes it harder to talk to them, then you might consider asking your headmate to let you finish your sentences before answering. They might be able to adjust or work with you to find another solution. Otherwise, you can let it…

semiplural : Spreadsheets! Here’s a simple spreadsheet template for documenting or exploring three things: When did major life events happen? Are any of them potentially connected? Who’s in your head?…

Advice to New Systems

Advice to New Systems If you experience any changes in body control (switching, possession, etc.), then establish some form of consistent, asynchronous external communication with your system. External communication has a major benefit: you can still talk to each other across switches (asynchronously) even if the inside of your mind is a mess. You might set up a journal, whiteboard, calendar, a…

Hello ya all!!! I’m the same creature that during the month of June (precisely during the first few days of June) asked about if it was possible for my roomheads (yeh that’s how I call my alters) to move precise part of my body. Well now after so long just a few days ago (almost a week and half I think) I finally started to accept and metabolize the fact I’m probably plural and in within ¾ days 3 ROOMHEADS JUST FUCKING SPAWNED IN WHILE I WAS IN ALL THREE TIMES READING COMICS OF A FEW ARTISTS I FOLLOW HERE IN TUMBLR AND ALSO INSTAGRAM … After sayin all this my question for ya all is: Is it normal that in just a FEW DAYS 3 alters formed just after I started to accept my multiplicity more??? (And btw sorry for the long paragraphs)

I couldn't tell you if it's normal ( normalcy is relative , not absolute- normal for what group of people, when?), but I can say that it seems to be pretty common in online plural communities for a system to have a sudden-looking change in headcount shortly after being discovered. Sometimes system members hang back and wait until they feel safe to introduce themselves because it's more comfortable…

semiplural : Diagnosis ALT Funny how we tend to get things once we stop wanting or looking for them. It took so long to be diagnosed with DID that we started resenting the idea of diagnosis altogether (and still do). But here we are. I have mixed feelings. how did headmates/alters get their names?

leaving this as an open question, i think i wanna branch out from just polls. Out of the present crew's names: One of us stole our middle deadname, one of us named themselves after their favorite song at the time, one of us is associated so strongly with the concept described by their name that it became their name, one of us just went off vibes(? I don't actually remember beyond it feeling right)…
