And it’s the one I’ve been dreading (almost as much as I’m dreading that watch along!). I don’t know why, but Cujo feels like the scariest book we’ve read so far! This could be because I don’t mess with dogs, and the scene in Friends where Joey and Rachel watch Cujo while he’s falling in love with her is seared in my brain, but I’m nervous. And, as always, thankful Stephen King Summer pushes me out of my comfort zone!

Don’t miss these final 6 weeks of Stephen King Summer! Mark your calendars for our meeting dates and our last watch along:

Cujo is a 1981 horror novel by Stephen King. It’s one of his most emotionally intense and claustrophobic books. The story centers on Cujo, a large, gentle Saint Bernard who is bitten by a rabid bat and gradually becomes dangerously ill. At the same time, a series of personal problems and bad circumstances bring several characters—especially a mother and her young son—into a terrifying situation involving the dog.
