Miranda Mills · Seasons of Story by Miranda Mills

It was a landmark week, as I managed to unpack every box of books! It’s wonderful to have all my books on bookshelves again and to be able to start the much more fun task of slowly organising and arranging them.

There are two posts for Seasons of Story members to enjoy from this week:

  • I wrote about how I’m organising my bookcases in my new home in this article.

  • I shared a post about The Leeds Library and a video of my library haul here.

I’ve also filmed a new YouTube video, which is currently uploading so should be available to watch later today.

I hope you enjoy the latest Seasonal Weekender post: keep scrolling down for 3 recommendations from the week; 2 seasonal quotes and 1 journal prompt.

I’m an admirer of the artist Enid Marx, so I’m rather tempted by this upcoming publication from Design for Today:

Inspired by Enid Marx and Margaret Lambert’s collection of Folk Art and popular culture at Compton Verney, this is a guidebook to an imagined collection that tells the story of Enid Marx and her achievements through 12 objects..

The book is illustrated and written by Emma Cunningham, who has used the craft technique of pochoir in her illustrations.

— Publisher synopsis

I’m delighted to be returning to The Little Ripon Bookshop this September for tea, cake & conversation to celebrate the publication of my second book, The Cosy Commonplace Book.

The event is on Friday, 11th September from 4pm-6pm. Tea and cake will be served by the bookshop, and I’ll be in conversation with Gill, the lovely owner, before signing books and getting to chat to attendees (and of course, sign books!).

Tickets are £10 or £27 to include my book. Head to the bookshop’s website, or call 01765606689 to book.
