To advance more informed, fact-based decisions about energy storage by translating complexity into clarity. Storage sits at the intersection of engineering, markets, regulation, and economics — and the right answer is highly context-dependent. Too often, storage is discussed in ways that are either overly optimistic, overly skeptical, or disconnected from the actual conditions that determine value.
This series aims to “distill” the essential drivers that matter: the market rules and system needs that create value, the policy and procurement choices that allocate risk, and the technoeconomic realities that separate viable deployments from expensive lessons. Our goal is to help stakeholders make better decisions, ask better questions, and pursue storage strategies that are environmentally sound, economically viable, and durable over time.
