June was teeming with life. Curls from the humidity, bubble baths, and new teeth. Adam gave a flute recital he worked really hard on. We had the chance to source some truly special antiques for client homes. That said, June was busy and not without its challenges. We are learning not to shut off the things that fill us up and give us joy and meaning just because life isn’t perfect.

• Summer reading recs. Everything Adam recommends you read this summer. For people who like to read books that feel like the season they are in.

1. Summer round-up. Nothing makes us want to bust out the film camera quite like summer. Take a second to click through this round-up of summer images and see if you don’t feel your shoulders ease.

2. Good work.

3. Bubble Bath. If you don’t want your hand to cramp after stirring in bubbles, this suds surprisingly well for a clean brand. We have the lavender and the eucalyptus mint and our kids enjoy both.

6. Hop Jigs. By Tiernan Courell. The perfect album to loop if you too play the same songs over and over.

   

7. David Sedaris at home. Incredibly charming photos of David Sedaris by photographer Winnie Au. The ability to capture someone’s essence is a gift.

   

8. Queen Anne’s Lace. We think stylist Andrew Thomas is incredibly talented and love his take on a simple arrangement. Big but not clunky.

   

9. Utilitarianism. A used kitchen is a good kitchen. Screenshotted via Charles de Lisle.

   

10. Space Poster. For less than fifty bucks, this limited edition Tom Hammick poster would make a cool addition to a space-obsessed kid’s room. Good art and feels simultaneously youthful and adult.

11. Calling card as birthday invite. Five deserves a celebration. What a great keepsake and clever birthday invite.
