Netflix announced when fans can expect Ginny & Georgia to return for its fourth season and what troubles the characters will be facing.
The series centers on the Miller family (mother Georgia and children Ginny and Austin) as they deal with life in a small town and secrets about Georgia's past surfacing. Back in 2023, Netflix renewed the dramedy for seasons 3 and 4, with the former having aired in mid-2025. Filming wrapped on Ginny & Georgia season 4 in March 2026.
Credit: Netflix via MovieStillsDBAt that point, the streamer had yet to divulge when fans might get to watch the return of Ginny & Georgia. But now Netflix has revealed that season 4 will premiere in 2027. A specific release date has not been announced yet.
There was about a two-year hiatus between the first two seasons, and a two-and-a-half-year wait for season 3, so a 2027 premiere aligns with that schedule.
This news was revealed alongside other Young Adult content that Netflix plans to release in 2027, including Just Picture It, Poser and The Sticks.
Whenever it does get released, the show will pick back up from the shocking events of Ginny & Georgia season 3, which ended with the titular daughter discovering that her mother is pregnant.
That's a major life change in and of itself, but Georgia also managed to escape a guilty verdict in the Tom Fuller murder trial, which came as a major relief. Additionally, she told Joe how accurate the various accusations against her during the trial actually were.
Even though the murder trial is behind her now, Georgia's life can't go back to normal. In Ginny & Georgia season 4, she'll be dealing with financial issues and figuring out who the father of her baby is.
She wants to show her children, especially Ginny, that she's able to leave her chaotic past behind, but that's harder said than done, as past secrets continue to surface and the Millers reach a breaking point.
Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey star as the titular Ginny and Georgia, respectively. Their Ginny & Georgia co-stars are Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Scott Porter, Raymond Ablack, Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark and Nathan Mitchell.
Sarah Lambert is the creator of Ginny & Georgia, with Sarah Glinski replacing Debra J. Fisher as showrunner. Both are also executive producers with Anya Adams, Jeff Tahler, Jenny Daly, Dan March, Holly Hines, Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Armand Leo, James Genn and Angela Nissel.
For its first two seasons, Ginny & Georgia earned mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, with a 68% and 60% score, respectively, on Rotten Tomatoes. The third season got a better reception and received a solid 76%, bringing the show's average score to 68%. Audiences have been more receptive than critics, giving Ginny & Georgia a 77% on the Popcornmeter.
