Scene & Heard (check us out on the gram @scene.heard) is a creative community for working and emerging storytellers across film, TV, and theater. We do live staged readings of original TV pilots & films, intimate industry conversations, film screenings and debates, theater nights, and experiences built to keep artists connected to the work and to each other.
Since we launched: 5,000+ people have shown up in person. Writers have gotten staffed. Actors have booked. Creators have landed deals. We’ve partnered with the Geffen Playhouse, The Line Hotel, Alamo Drafthouse, the Motion Picture Association, and Soho House, to name a few.
Scene Study is where we bring all of that online, every week, straight to your inbox.

Millions of dollars in grants and opportunities shared with this community, for free
We are two months old.
We’ve kept everything free because access matters. But to go deeper and build what this can actually become, we need the community behind us.
Becoming a paid subscriber directly supports:
The research and curation behind every issue
Grants and opportunities that have already put millions in front of this community
Original content and resources built for working creatives
The live programming that brings all of this into the room
Keeping this platform growing and independent
We’re not asking you to support a brand. We’re asking you to invest in a community that’s been investing in you since day one.
Subscribe. Share this with someone who needs to be here. And come find us.
We’re just getting started.
