Happy Sunday! And welcome to another Saved + Collected. This one is quite long, with a paywall somewhere around the halfway mark for my paid subscribers.

A little sidenote before we begin: yesterday, as I was leaving a fika at Djurgårdsbrunn with my parents-in-law and my mother, who is in town, I was stopped by a paid subscriber – Hi Julie!! I am still in shock and awe that people are actually reading this Substack, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for the little community we are building here.

Enjoy my latest saves below.

(The below includes affiliate links, more on that at the bottom.)

  1. A tailored long blazer coat – perfect for occasions, but even over jeans + a tee (wink).

  2. An affordable silk and cashmere scarf, but wear it over a long sleeve tee the first weeks of fall.

  3. Water pitcher, but make it fun and a bit fancy.

  4. I’ve been dreaming of this book since I wrote my deep dive on Elsa Peretti. And now it’s on sale.

  5. Greige clogs, because we all know this is my style.

  6. A sideways emerald-cut diamond ring is so lovely and modern.

  7. Made in Puglia, a shell plate for jewelry, perhaps.

  8. A fluffy robe from British brand Christy, established in 1850.

  9. August means back to my bathtub – Susanne Kaufmann’s bath soak

  10. A lympathic body brush, yes.

A classic, but with a little bit of height. With so many great straight-leg and bootcut jeans around right now, a ballerina with a small heel feels like the perfect pairing.

Love animal print but tired of leopard? Why not try this fawn printed bateau bag. I’m especially fond of the shape.

Lovely finds at Barcelona-based webshop Cultural Habits.

It is that time of year when we should really all be buying our fall footwear before it sells out. Flattered’s boots especially. I’m also very into their new heels and bags.

Jenna Katz’s golden beads on a silk cord.

Four Massimo Dutti finds that feel perfect for the transitional season.

As happens every August, I come home after a summer away and suddenly see my home with different eyes. I’ve been turning to Pinterest, but also to interior design firms like Studio Escapist, Herese Studio and Studio MRS for inspiration, among others. I even fell down a rabbit hole of old Studioilse homes, layered and lovely.

What I plan to do with all of the images? Colin King wrote about this brilliantly earlier this year: rather than simply saving an image because you like it, try to understand what, exactly, you’re responding to. Because for me, it’s rarely every element in a photo. It might be the way a chair feels slightly out of place, the scale of a lamp, the height and size of a picture on the wall, or simply the feeling a room gives me. Like he says, the interesting part is figuring out why.

I’ve said it in the past, and I’ll say it again. Loretta Rothschild is my favorite person I don’t actually know on Instagram (no offence to everyone else).

I need her to write several new books ASAP because I absolutely loved Finding Grace (available on paperback now). In case you somehow haven’t heard me mention that before.

Here is her Analogue Sundays reel, where she shares the things she deep-dives into on Sundays.

A book about our connection to the big blue. Cannot wait to read this. Best regards, your water-obsessed Pisces.

My dear friend Carolina Storm’s beautiful new blue sofa from Marie-Louise Sjögren.

Charlotte Parker posted this photo from her visit to Schiller Dufva here in Stockholm, and as a lover of blue, I fell hard. The Rörstrand Ceramics below are available in the webshop.

An elegant watch but in blue? I love this twist.

The perfect vintage Hermès tote, in a style that is rarely seen.

I’m into the idea of chino- or cargo-style trousers for fall. I was served the first pair in an Instagram ad and then remembered Jeanerica’s great pair.

Yotam Ottolenghi’s date and pecan pudding

Nur’s Toasted milk & pear cake.

I think many of us have been waiting on the images of the interiors of Daphne, Frederik Bille Brahe’s new restaurant. Cannot wait to see more.

Maggie Marilyn’s fleece is the perfect mix of nostalgic sportswear and something new.
