Stephane Bounmy · Stephane @HongBao Bitcoin

December 2025 was quite difficult for us, HongBao Bitcoin sales didn’t take off as expected.

At the same time I was impressed by Marc Lou’s launch TrustMRR and I asked myself:

Why this doesn’t exist for Bitcoin?

Bitcoin companies would submit their addresses (normal or xpub) and get their holdings shown. Ranking would follow with famous Bitcoin animals

So I decided to vibe code it for fun on a Sunday afternoon, I needed to refresh my mind with some creative stuff, I was getting depressed with HongBao Bitcoin.

Ofc I don’t have Marc’s audience so in the beginning it was just my 3 startups (HackerHouse, N28 and HongBaoBTC).

So I decided to list all Bitcoin companies. Data are public from BitcoinTreasuries.net and show a “% verified” aka proof of reserve.

To increase their % verified, companies would have to submit their address / xpub with a micro transaction to validate. But would Strategy trust an unknown frenchie dev ?

“It actually dilutes the security of an issuer, the custodians, the exchanges and the investors—It is not a good idea— It’s a bad idea. It’s like publishing the address and the bank accounts of all your kids and your phone numbers of all your kids, and then thinking somehow that makes your family better. It doesn’t make your family healthy” – Saylor

Short Answer : No.

So I add arkham intel data to get their % verified.

For fun I built a simple map

It directly caught Reddit attention : #3 on r/Bitcoin with 127k views but also tons of comments that were valuable feedbacks for me

Then a friend of mine :

I doubled down with mobile first UX :

I realized I was building the Trustpilot of Bitcoin Companies with GoogleMap UXThe map add a dimension of space and user can see the whole picture at a glance.

Getting real time and accurate data takes time. TBH I’m still catching up Coinbase transactions.

As of today I’m tracking 8M+ BTC over 60M+ txs.

I’ve also added reviews thanks to trustpilot and I noticed big wallet holders aren’t necessarily the best services (Hello Binance 👋)

Switzerland BTC companies is doing a great job tho.

Let user focus on the signal (flow) instead of the noise (price).

Also have indicators to which companies they will trust their funds:

  • % verified (proof of reserve)

  • Reviews

After chatting with Claude, the playbook of Trustpilot / G2 fits best: users get free access to data.

Make Bitcoin companies rank so well in AI agents and SEO that companies would reach out to claim their profile so they can :

  • Manage their addresses for PoR

  • Reply to reviews

  • Control the narrative

Their goal ? Build trust for (future) customers.

We can have pricing based on their BTC holdings.

TAM is small, 600+ companies, so high tickets is fine.

Spending too much time, 2-3 days, working on the xpub validation. when no one would use it (yet).

I’m just starting a boring directory but it’s so much fun!

My kids love it :)

HongBao Bitcoin will still live as a side project but the logistics / shipping while being nomad is very annoying.

See you next month,
