Coucou
I’m writing to you from my couch.
Theo just went down for bed and so begins that window where I try to squeeze in as much as humanly possible before I need to pump and go to bed myself.
A bit of a mixed bag this week—things of note, spring outfit inspiration, and recent saves a screenshots from the past few weeks.
I’ll be back this weekend with a few thoughts on getting dressed lately. xx
P.S. I apologize in advance for any typos.
Currently hyper-fixated on transitional weight knits and found several promising cotton-cashmere ones including this polo and high v-neck from &Daughter’s spring collection. Also revisiting this cardigan that’s been on my list for years.
’Tis the season to refresh my white tees. Specifically this Cos one and this Uniqlo one. Great for layering or wearing on their own. Not to mention easy on the wallet.
Citizen’s of Humanity launched petites (!!). And it looks like a true petite assortment—meaning the entire design has been adjusted to fit smaller proportions.
I think a Róhe order is in the cards for me. Love this take on a white poplin dress. Ditto this dress and these pants for summer and vacations! Last one, this jacket for spring. It’s the perfect twist on a classic silhouette.
Popped down to Le Bon Marche to check out Margaux—they recently launched there. Immediately fell for these loafers (so buttery soft, very The Row), these wrap sandals that go with everything, and these flip flops in the perfect shade of brown.
Nothing necessarily groundbreaking, but the devil is always in the details—and proportions.
Not that I need another black leather jacket, but I love the idea of a shorter one or one without an elastic hem.
I can’t tell you how many photos I have saved of khaki pants. Sadly, I’m still on the hunt. I tried these Staud one’s—great color, but the fit was too baggy for what I’m looking for right now. Might revisit later though.
The belt and the blazer stopped my scroll, but a monochromatic look (in this case, white denim with an off-white tee) with contrasting details (black sandals, belt and sunglasses), and a “pop” of something else, is one of my favorite spring outfit formulas.
I’ve been seeing a lot of open-weave, loose-gauge knits—Khaite’s Elowen sweater, The Garments Literno sweater, TWP’s Wide Crew Pullover to name a few. I love. I wore one from Mikoh all last summer. They immediately add texture and depth to any outfit and can easily be styled for the city or the beach.
I love a good kick flare pant (just ordered another pair of these)—especially when paired with a leather jacket and ballet flats.
Field notes and musings from the depths of my camera roll.
Chat soon! xx, Sarah
