The magic of relationships

Today I’m going to share how we manifest what and (most importantly) who is meant for us and it all boils down to energetic alignment.

You’d think that after going through two divorces, I would be the last person that anyone should or would ask about manifesting a relationship. However, I get messages from people all the time that are looking for love. They know I’ve been to hell and back on my own journey, but somehow manifested an incredible relationship while still healing, growing, learning and all of the juicy experiences and detours we have in life.

In fact, some of my dearest friends are on a journey to find their soulmate or their forever person, so we quite often have conversations about how to identify energetic alignment.

For many years I have helped clients to manifest love. A former reality TV star once came to me for advice and attracted her perfect match and they have been together for quite some time now. It seems to be that when people get very clear on what they want (plus some other very subtle nuances) then the universe will speed up the delivery.

In fact, my boyfriend Jon used one of my manifestation techniques that I mentioned in one of my podcast episodes before he even knew me.

I would often say in the manifestation ritual that if you want to call in your partner, that you need to buy an extra coffee cup. When you are making your morning brew, you make one for them as well and visualize the feeling of them being there with you. It’s all about feeling the energy as if your person has already manifested.

There was no way in the world that Jon was considering it was the lady on the podcast recommending the cup ritual. Sure enough, Jon manifested a relationship with me within a year of listening to that episode! As I write these words, he’s about to make me my morning cup of coffee.

More than just the cute manifesting gimmicks though is something much deeper going on.

You may have felt it yourself…it’s a calling.

And yes, we can sometimes get it wrong, but that’s also where the beauty of relationships are activated.

On a consciousness level we always attract what our souls need.

Whether that is a mirror for healing, a path to rise above to get stronger, or a union of true companionship and ease. I’d like to think that the people we draw into our world are always there to create harmony and (of course) the ultimate goal is love.

However, when you find yourself single and not sure if you will ever find your person it can be a very lonely path. You can even be in a relationship and feel very lonely, which is why what I’m about to share will land in a way that might be helpful.

When you see this, you can’t unsee it.

I’ve always believed that there is free will and Divine will. Two channels of participation in this thing called life. Meaning we can guide and set intentions for what we want to manifest, but ultimately it’s God, the universe or the Divine that calls the shots. There are many sacred contracts at play that no one can truly rationalize.

As an example, both of my ex husbands are examples of sacred contracts that resulted in four beautiful children. I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m eternally grateful. Each relationship, like any relationship, has a path of growth on the journey of our lives. It’s all part of the magic.

Here’s how the relationships will either sink or swim:

You will either grow closer together or you grow apart. You either grow closer to the Divine together, or you drift further away. And then there are the actions (sometimes repeated) that are very hard to come back from because they breach your own soul codes.

I was reading Outwitting The Devil again the other day. This is by Napoleon Hill who also penned Think & Grow Rich.

Outtwitting The Devil wasn’t published for over 70 years, because it’s quite controversial. It’s a supposed conversation between Hill and the devil himself. In there was a paragraph that made total sense to me:

“Minds which do not harmonize should never be forced to remain
together in marriage or any other relationship.”

When you try your best to salvage a relationship, whether it’s in therapy or for the sake of duty to outdated models of obligation, then you compromise your own energy field. This might ruffle some feathers the wrong way, but marriage can sometimes feel like ownership in modern society and it feels a tad archaic. But I wholeheartedly agree that if minds do not harmonize it is very difficult to remain in harmony. I tried, and spoiler alert… it didn’t work.

Manifesting a relationship. Any relationship for that matter, is a daily commitment to manifesting a better relationship with yourself and how you can love your person (either manifested or yet to be manifested) at a deeper level with the awareness of being harmonized.

It’s asking yourself:

How deeply can I know myself? How honestly can I communicate? How much love can I give without abandoning myself? How can I love this person…not the fantasy of who I want them to be, but who they actually are? « The last one here is key.

And if your person hasn’t arrived yet, perhaps the question isn’t simply, “How do I manifest them?”

Perhaps it’s:

“Who am I becoming so that when love arrives, I recognize it?”

Or better yet, send love to your person BEFORE they arrive.

My mother called me last night, and during our conversation she told me about the moment she knew Jon was the right person for me.

It wasn’t because of some grand romantic gesture. It wasn’t because I had declared him my soulmate.

It was something he had said to her nearly two years ago:

“I love your daughter, and I love her no matter what.”

And maybe that’s energetic alignment in its simplest form. Not finding someone who completes you. And it’s not about finding someone who rescues you like the shitty Disney narratives. And it’s not even finding someone who perfectly matches the Full Moon list you wrote in your manifestation journal.

It’s as simple as finding someone whose mind/soul can harmonize with yours, while both of you remain completely, beautifully yourselves.

Oh, I started a new poetry TickTok if you want to follow me.

With Love,

Sarah Prout.
