Synchronicity Isn't Random

Hello! Happy Monday. Today I’m sharing about the fact that syncronicities that happen and unfold in our lives are definitely not random. You can also listen to this as a podcast episode on The Manifest Podcast.

For instance…have you ever thought about someone only for them to call moments later? Or opened a book to the exact sentence you needed to read?

Perhaps you’ve seen the same symbol everywhere, a butterfly, a feather, a particular number (hello 11:11) and wondered if life was trying to get your attention.

Yesterday I found a baby lizard on my laundry hamper and saw it as a beautiful sign.

Some people dismiss these moments as coincidence. Others call them synchronicities.

I believe synchronicity is less about proving that the universe is sending us messages and more about recognizing that life often feels richer and more connected when we pay attention.

For years, I approached manifestation as if the magic lived outside of me. I looked for signs that my desires were on their way. I waited for evidence that I was on the “right path.”

Now I see synchronicity differently.

I don’t think it’s something we chase. I think it’s something we effortlessly notice.

When we become deeply engaged with our lives, creating, learning, healing, loving, building—we naturally become more aware of meaningful connections that may have always been there.

In other words, synchronicity isn’t simply about what happens.

It’s about how present we are when it happens.

Every creative person knows this feeling. An idea arrives while washing the dishes or taking a bath. A conversation answers a question you’ve been quietly carrying. A stranger recommends the exact book you’ve been thinking about. I personally LOVE it when this happens. An opportunity appears just after you’ve finally committed to your work with full gusto.

Was it coincidence?

Maybe.

But creativity teaches us something fascinating: breakthroughs often emerge when we are immersed in the process rather than fixated on the outcome.

The more we create, the more connections we begin to see. Not because reality has suddenly changed overnight, but because we have.

One of the biggest misconceptions about manifestation is that our role is to wait.

Wait for clarity. Wait for confidence. Wait for the perfect sign. Wait for all kinds of random stuff.

But life rarely rewards passive observation.

It responds to participation.

Every time you write the first sentence...Paint the first brushstroke...

Launch the idea... Start the conversation...

...you create opportunities for unexpected connections to unfold.

Movement creates possibilities. Action creates encounters. Creativity creates momentum.

And momentum often looks remarkably like synchronicity.

I don’t believe we have to force meaning onto every coincidence.

Not every delayed flight is a lesson. Not every repeated number is a prediction of what’s to come and manifest into your life.

But I do believe there is value in asking gentle questions.

What is this moment inviting me to notice?

What has my attention been drawn toward lately?

What possibilities have I been overlooking?

Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t the coincidence itself.

It’s the pause. The lovely reflection.

The willingness to look at your life with curiosity instead of certainty.

This is one of the beautiful paradoxes of Creative Manifestation.

When your attention shifts away from constantly asking, “Is my manifestation coming?” and toward “What can I create today?” something remarkable happens.

Life begins to feel more alive. You notice opportunities that once blended into the background. You recognize people whose paths naturally align with yours.

Ideas seem to arrive more often. Conversations become more meaningful.

It’s not necessarily because the universe suddenly changed its behavior. It’s because your participation in life changed your experience of it.

Maybe synchronicity isn’t about collecting signs. Maybe it’s about becoming someone who is awake enough to notice the beauty woven throughout ordinary life. Not because every event carries a hidden message. It could be because attention transforms experience.

So today, instead of asking, “Show me a sign,” try asking a different question:

What can I create today that allows me to participate more fully in my own life?

Because perhaps the most meaningful synchronicity of all is discovering that the life you’ve been waiting for begins the moment you decide to create it.

Lots of love,

Sarah Prout.
