Every year, usually earlier than the weather warrants, we make a now-impossible-to-find recipe for Butternut Squash Soup with Apples and Bacon from a 2005 issue of Fine Cooking magazine. I still use a print-out of the recipe from the aughts, stashed in an old recipe binder, but for the rest of you, I found this.
We really enjoyed season three of The Diplomat and, as fans of The West Wing, delighted in the re-pairing of these two (gift link): Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford Just Can’t Quit the White House (Alexis Soloski for The New York Times)
Made this Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole recipe from Baker Mama for a ladies’ brunch and it was a hit. I subbed mushrooms in for the ham and sprinkled fresh herbs on top when it came out of the oven. So good.
I expected to enjoy this episode of We Can Do Hard Things. I actually didn’t expect to enjoy it AS MUCH as I did:
