For those who pay attention, who make mindfulness a way of life, there is regular attention to each moment-event. Contemplatives ground ourselves in this. And the subsequent this, and next this, and on. Memory naturally references previous this’s of the past and imagination references future this’s. Thus we are capable of knowing, of learning, and of aspiring.
One this flows into the next. None lasts or has sovereignty. No fixed “only this” can be found. Here we discover radical diversity. When we continuously reconnect with this, sameness is impossible and otherness has no meaning. In the radical diversity of thisness nothing is excluded.
Here-Now-This simply is. Being? More like changing.
Words never capture this and kill when they try to, like pinning moths to a display. Yet wholeness is worth pointing to, a noble gesture, with each this blossoming. To look, to aspire. Ye who seek love, seek so here.
