You Can't Escape Gaza

I’m hoping to write about this in more depth - either for this platform or another - but there are decades of literature that discuss, from varying vantage points, how violence is a transformative force that impacts not only victims but perpetrators too. It is difficult to see those who knew and know better move along, make alliances and shoulder rubs where there shouldn’t be - but as a good childhood friend of mine put it (paraphrased): “I didn’t expect the banality of evil to be so.. banal”.
