What are you reading?
Leave out the stuff for work. Forget That One Thing, you know the one, the one that you started reading because you felt like you had to because “everyone was” or because it would be good for your professional development or… whatever.
What are you reading for fun?
For me, it’s stuff like Twelve Months. Maybe that makes me a Basic White Guy. I don’t care. When it arrived I cleared out the calendar, plopped down on the couch, and finished it in a day. I’m the same way with something from Dan Abnett or Glen Cook.
What grabs you like that?
I want to know. Chances are, it’s something I’ve never heard of. That’s fantastic! If you are one of my readers, that means it’s probably something I would enjoy, and I’d love to give it a shot.
If you’re reading one of my books (Good on ya! They build strong bones, or something…) tell me what you’re enjoying about it. Which character do you love? Which one do you hate?
You can reply to the email, leave a comment, or send me a message on Substack. Heck, you can send me a note via carrier pigeon. I’m not picky. However you do it, though — let me know what’s got you staying up far too late these days, muttering, “just one more chapter.”
