Hi dear subscribers,
Here we are Tuesday and my hopes of offering you a Monday post are already in the rearview. I was off galivanting in hot hot Ellensburg Washington over the weekend, attending my future son-in-law’s senior recital in French Horn. The concert was stupendous and inspiring with fantastic, brave repertoire, incredible technical execution, and a deeply felt performance.
I highly recommend that you require any future spouse of one of your children to perform a 60-minute concert for you - It’s a terrific way to find out just what kind of person you are dealing with! In this case, I’m delighted to report that we are working with a gem of a fellow with an interesting mind, deep feelings, and a big big heart.
I returned Sunday night a little worse for wear after two days of high heat (which instantly melts my brain) and 6 hours of driving over mountain passes. So, let’s just say that the new post I’m working on for you needs another week to gel.
While that keeps cooking, I want to share an older post that I think you’ll really enjoy.
If you are one of the many new-ish subscribers to Saltee Goodness, Welcome and Thank You! and I hope this gives you lots to chew on.
With that, I bring you - The Other D-Word, an invitation to replace the word “Discipline” with the word “Devotion” when you are shaping your relationship with your creativity.
