I AM – The Key to Divine Freedom

👉 "I AM – The Key to Divine Freedom"

Let us begin with the invocation Saint Germain offered in Discourse 1, dated October 3rd, 1932.

"Thou Infinite, Mighty Presence, Thou All-Pervading Principle of Life! We give praise and thanks for Thy Wondrous Activity through all outer presence... Mighty Presence of God in Action, surge forth in the minds of all, expressing Thy Conquering Presence."

Saint Germain opens this discourse with a fundamental truth:

"Life, in all Its Activities everywhere manifest, is God in Action."

Every breath we take, every movement we make, every thought and feeling is a manifestation of the Divine—whether we realize it or not. What disrupts the perfect expression of that Life is not sin in the traditional sense, but our lack of understanding of how thought and feeling are creative forces.

He says:

"The natural tendency of Life is Love, Peace, Beauty, Harmony, and Opulence..."

Let us pause and ask ourselves: Have I allowed my thoughts and feelings to express these Divine Qualities today? Or have I misused this energy?

Saint Germain delivers what could be considered the key teaching of the entire I AM movement:

"'I AM' is the Full Activity of God."

When we say the words "I AM," we are invoking Divine Power. Every time we say, "I AM sick," "I AM broke," or "I AM not good enough," we are misusing the very force of God itself.

"You are, whether knowingly or unknowingly, throttling that Great Presence within you."

He even warns:

"Dynamite is less dangerous... for these thoughts sent forth ignorantly bind you upon the wheel of reembodiment indefinitely."

💡 Practical Exercise:

For this week, replace every limiting phrase with a Divine truth.

• Instead of "I AM tired," say, "I AM filled with the Light and Energy of God."

• Instead of "I AM confused," say, "I AM the clarity of Divine Wisdom."

Saint Germain urges us to take a firm stand:

"Stop using these wrong expressions of your Godhead."

He pleads with us as a loving teacher would:

"I almost long for a branding-iron to brand those words—'I AM'—into your consciousness for constant use."

This is not metaphorical exaggeration. It is an urgent call to reprogram how we speak, think, and feel about ourselves and the world.

What would your life look like if you only accepted thoughts that affirmed your Divinity?

Saint Germain shares many pearls of wisdom on spiritual mastery in this first discourse:

"Sit down three or four times a day and simply still the outer self."

"The holding on of old habits is just like wearing old, worn-out garments."

"If one will buckle down to brass tacks and call on the Law of Forgiveness, he can then consume all past creations in the Consuming Flame and be free."

Take 5 minutes today to:

• Sit in stillness.

• Call upon the Law of Forgiveness.

• Visualize the Violet Flame consuming all past limitations.

Saint Germain ends the Discourse with a powerful teaching on the role of attention:

"Whatever you let the attention rest upon, you are agreeing with and accepting, because through the attention you have let the mind become one with it."

Let us apply this by watching our attention with the vigilance of a guardian.
