This is the third of these monthly scans.
This month, again, a high-resolution scan. Available to download from this post for 30 days.
Use it as a phone wallpaper, a desktop or tablet background, or simply something to glance at during the day.
A scan lets you see the work in a way the original itself can’t offer. Zoom in, and you can come up close to the grain of the charcoal and the fibers of the paper. Pull back, and the quiet space around the figure sits in the palm of your hand. The photos I post on social media are taken with a DSLR, but a scan brings you a step closer.
Each month, one image appears here, and then it goes. This one is available only for these 30 days. Once the time passes, it won’t return, and the earlier months won’t come back either. I’ve thought about it, and I’d like to keep it this way. A single image, present for a while, and then gone. That feels right for what these are.
So if this month’s piece stays with you, keep it somewhere safe while it’s here.
Those of you who support this place are the reason I can keep making work, and keep this going. I want to return that, in my own small way, one image at a time.
The download is available to paid subscribers, just below.
