Highland hotel seeks go-ahead for staff units

Plans have been lodged to erect staff units to serve a Lochalsh hotel.

Balmacara Hotel, near Kyle, wants the go-ahead from Highland Council to remove an existing wooden shed and erect staff units.

According to the application submitted on behalf of the hotel, the site area concerned extends to 55m² with the existing use listed as “dilapidated storage shed”.

There would be no change to existing number of parking spaces, which is put down as 21.

The units would be connected to the public drainage system. Waste and recycling would be included into the hotel waste management system.

The proposal can be read on Highland Council’s ePlanning portal using the reference number 26/03134/FUL
