Previuos note: now that my first book is in the hands of the publisher, I’m sharing a poem from my second book.
Empty the mind
and suddenly
nature brings forth the birds,
the path falls into the rhythm
of your footsteps, the blue sky becomes
the blue sea where you drift,
the words reveal themselves, and after all
they are not yours, the fears move on,
not knowing where they are bound, and then
something you seek, peace
unfurls its flying carpet
without a sound, without longing, without pain.
Empty the mind
and suddenly the invisible becomes
burning fire, beauty made flesh,
the poem, here and now.
