Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20 year federal sentence for sex trafficking, stemming from her many years funneling underage girls to Jeffery Epstein, which he shared with this close friend Donald Trump. After losing an appeal in US Circuit Court she appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States. This is an important detail for what’s about to transpire.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche involved himself personally after the recent firing of Maurene Comey from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Comey’s husband is the assistant US Attorney for the office, meaning the office can’t be trusted to do the President’s bidding in this matter. Blance, of course, was Donald Trump’s defense attorney in his 2024 criminal trial, where then candidate Trump was found guilty of more felonies than you have fingers and toes.
It doesn’t take a Qanon Pizzagate conspiracy theorist to deduce that Blanche conspired with Maxwell’s attorney, David Markus of Florida (who praised Trump’s performance in the primary debates of 2016 by jokingly saying Jeb Bush had a case for battery), to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement between Maxwell and Trump. The question that remains to be seen is exactly what form that agreement will take.
The obvious suggestion is that Maxwell would receive a pardon from the President. After all, the President has freely dealt pardons to friends, associates in providing favors, and the terrorists who waged a violent insurrection to keep him in power after losing the 2020 election. Furthermore, President Trump wanted to premptively pardon Maxwell back in 2020, to prevent her from revealing incriminating information about him. He had to be talked out of the pardon by a handful of people who recognized that the mere appearance of pardoning a sex trafficer with connections to himself would be catastrophic to his reelection chances.
But an outright pardon is less likely, without at least first building a more conducive scene to help save face and justify it. Furthermore, why simply snip a pair of sissors when you can construct a whole new victim complex that you can swing like a cudgle, while also holding persistent leverage over someone who has dirt on you? This is where Maxwell’s appeal becomes important.
Help spread the word to the American people.
Maxwell’s appeal argues that she was immune from prosecution in the first place, based on a previous plea arraingement based by Epstein himself. Back during the late George W. Bush administration Epstein faced federal charges in the Southern Distict of Florida. The same Alan Dershowitz who defended Donald Trump in his impeachment trial negotiated a plea deal with the same Alex Acosta (then US Attorney of the Southern District of Florida) who was made Labor Secretary under Trump’s first term. The plea deal included a promise not to prosecute “any potential co-conspirators of Epstein.”
By the way, Alan Dershowitz was himself one of those co-conspirators because Epstein had previously channelled multiple underage girls to Dershowitz for sex, including the late Virginia Giuffre.
Because of this plea deal in Flordia, Maxwell has argued that she was immune from prosecution for her conduct in the Southern District of New York. This is a novel interpretation of the law, as existing precedent treats such plea deals as only binding on the district in which they are made. But if one were to accept her claim, it would pave the way to claiming that Maxwell has been treated “very unfairly,” as President Trump has often claimed about criminals he pardoned for no good reason.
The 2nd Circuit rejected the argument already. Maxwell has now petitioned the Supreme Court to take up the question of alleged prosecutorial shenanegans, and it was only a week ago when the Justice Department filed a response. This is very much an active matter.
Be prepared for the Justice Department to likely change its tune on Maxwell’s case before the Supreme Court, now that Maurene Comey is out of the way. The Bondi-Blanche team will start working to make Maxwell out to be the victim of a political prosecution by the same US Attorney’s Office that Donald Trump constantly accused of being a rogue operation that was out to get him; it’s the same office that beat the “Russia, Russia, Russia” drum.
As the President twists Maxwell’s case into a form of partisan attack on him allegedly by Democrats, Maga will largely take up the rally cry and demand Maxwell’s exoneration. The Supreme Court will become more likely to take on what’s become a highly partisan case, in obeyance to his disguised public instructions.
Eventually the high court will agree with the argument that any and all co-conspirators of Epstein are immune from federal prosecution anywhere in the United States. And that will include Donald Trump himself. They will protect him, once again.
