Romans 2:1-6 It is a horrible place, a terrible danger for those who profess faith in Christ alone when knowing the truth becomes a substitute for being humbled by the truth.

Romans 2:1-11 The Apostle Paul is going to confront us with three realities. First, he's going to show us the judge who condemns others is himself condemned by God's truth. Second, he's going to show us the sinner who presumes upon God's kindness is being summoned to repentance. And third, he will show us that every sinner will stand before the impartial judgment of God. The question on the table…

Hosea 6:6 If everything God desired was found perfectly in Christ, how does what is true of Christ become yours and mine? That question brings us to one of the richest doctrines in all of scripture and that is our union with Christ.

Romans 1:28-32 Who decides what's true? Who determines what's right? Who defines what's good and evil? Who establishes the boundaries of your life? In other words, will God remain upon the throne of your heart, or have you quietly attempted to place Him on trial?

Hosea 6:6 Everything God the Father desired, He found in His Son. Christ truly is the faithful covenant Son that Adam failed to be and Israel never became.

Romans 1:28-32 Sin never stands alone. Rebellion against God is never static. It always moves downward. It always progresses. It always carries the sinner further than he intended to go and further away from God. The darkness of the mind is not the cause of the rebellion. It's the consequence of the rebellion.

Hosea 6 It is possible to experience religious emotion without true conversion. It is possible to feel conviction without genuine repentance. The Lord has never been satisfied with religion that never reaches the heart.

Romans 1:26-27 Sin always follows the same tragic progression. It begins always in worship, and it moves into desires and then it appears in our behavior, but it always ends in destruction.

Hosea 6:1-11 Is your love for the Lord like the morning cloud that disappears as the day continues? Is your love for the Lord like the dew, that once the sun rises is burned off the grass quickly and is gone for the rest of that day?

Romans 1:22-32 Man is not basically good but evil. When men persistently abandon God, God will abandon them. Only the Triune God can graciously redeem sinners. remove sin, and produce righteousness.
