Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football
As we inch closer to the September 3rd season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the coaches’ preseason All-SEC teams were announced on Wednesday afternoon — and Mizzou was well represented. Running back Ahmad Hardy and offensive tackle Cayden Green highlight the first team.
Hardy, who is recovering from an offseason injury, rushed for a Mizzou record 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns while recording seven 100-yard rushing games. He became just the sixth player in SEC history to rush for 300 yards in a single game. Hardy, a first team All-American, was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the nation’s top running back. He forced 97 missed tackles as a sophomore and accounted for 71.9 percent of his rushing yards after contact (1,186).
Green, who was a first team All-SEC selection a year ago, garners preseason honors for the second straight year. A native of Lee’s Summit, Green enters his third season as a key piece of the Tigers’ offensive front. He cleared a path for the nation’s No. 8 rushing offense (2,968 yards) last season while allowing just two sacks in 362 pass attempts.
On the second team — long snapper Brett Le Blanc received honors as Mizzou’s special teams looks for major improvement.
Le Blanc understands that he’s just a piece in the puzzle and stays humble. He gave credit to all of his coaches for the preseason All-SEC nod and said he wants to uplift the kickers to make their jobs easier.
Auburn linebacker transfer Robert Woodyard Jr. also gets some love with a third team selection — where he should make a big impact on Mizzou’s new-look defense.
Woodyard Jr. spent four seasons at Auburn and is coming off a highly productive 2025-2026 campaign — ranking second on the team with 67 total tackles which landed him on First Team All-SEC honors per Pro Football Focus.

It’s a part of the Tigers’ fall schedule. The Diamonds are a pioneer in Kansas City, becoming the community’s first professional women’s fastpitch softball team. They started as a collegiate exhibition team in 2025, before becoming a founding member of the Professional Softball League (PSL). Wichita State was a 30-plus-win team a season ago.

As for Webb, he played his first two seasons at New Mexico State before transferring to Columbia in 2024. Last year, alongside McClellan, he played 407 snaps for the Tigers, collecting three sacks from the interior. He also was one of Mizzou’s main pressure generators, as his 23 pressures ranked fourth on the team behind Zion Young, Damon Wilson II, and Darris Smith. This means that Mizzou returns its top pass rusher within the interior.
It’s a huge plus for the Mizzou defense to get Sterling Webb back.
Speaking of receivers, Montgomery has been getting some reps with the ones when either Olugbode or Cayden Lee are not on the field, and the Florida transfer is likely to be one of the first receiver options off the bench alongside Shaun Terry II.

All-American redshirt sophomore Aeoden Sinclair and incoming freshman Yandel Morales will represent their respective countries at the U20 Freestyle World Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, beginning Thursday.
