Hello, hello, hello…
Hayden Panettiere’s sudden death is raising questions about the final hours of her life — and what her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, may have seen or known.
Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive at a Greenville, South Carolina, residence on Aug. 16, after traveling there from Los Angeles with Hickerson the previous day. Police responded after a 911 call, and the investigation remains open. Authorities have said there are no initial signs of foul play.
Now, sources tell Naughty But Nice that investigators are focused on Hickerson and the timeline surrounding Panettiere’s death.
“Police want to know exactly what happened after Hayden arrived in South Carolina,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “Brian was with her, so naturally they have questions for him.”
The couple’s troubled history adds another layer. Hickerson pleaded no contest in 2021 to two felony counts involving injury to a spouse or girlfriend and received jail time, probation and a five-year restraining order.
“Investigators are going back over everything — where they went, who they saw and what happened inside that house,” the source says.
Another source tells Naughty But Nice: “They need Brian to walk them through Hayden’s final hours. What did he see? When did he realize something was wrong? Who made the 911 call?”
Panettiere and Hickerson officially split in 2022, though he later admitted he still had feelings for her.
“This is about establishing the timeline and getting answers,” the source says. “Police have questions, and Brian is someone they need to talk to.”
Hickerson has not publicly commented on Panettiere’s death.
