Hello, hello, hello…
Hayden Panettiere’s friends are asking difficult questions about the final hours of her life — and what, if anything, her on-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson knew.
According to multiple sources, Panettiere traveled from Los Angeles to South Carolina with Hickerson the day before her death. She was later found unresponsive inside a Greenville apartment and pronounced dead.
“People close to Hayden want to know what happened inside that apartment, who was with her, and what happened before that 911 call,” a source tells Naughty But Nice.
Those questions intensified following reports that Narcan was found at the scene and that 911 dispatch audio appeared to reference a possible overdose. Her official cause and manner of death remain pending the medical examiner’s findings.
“The obvious questions are where did the drugs come from, who had access to them and whether Hayden knowingly took anything,” another source tells us. “But right now, people are looking for answers, not making accusations.”
Hickerson and Panettiere had a complicated history. He previously admitted abusing the actress and served jail time after pleading no contest to felony charges involving her.
“Nobody is accusing Brian of causing Hayden’s death,” the source stresses. “But people who loved Hayden want to know what he knew, what he saw and what happened between their arrival in South Carolina and the moment she was found.”
Authorities have said there were no initial signs of foul play. For now, the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death — including whether an overdose occurred — remain under investigation.
