The real woman within.
He sees her outer image.
The things she may do to attract his attention.
Things which excite his imagination or trigger his desire.
But he does not know her.
Her struggles and pain.
The misunderstandings of men driven by lust and desire.
Misunderstandings driven by his fear and the need to control.
She seeks his heart, but he hides behind walls of protection.
A protection from seeing himself as he actually is.
Little does he know the true gift she brings.
A gift wrapped in compassion and understanding.
That his heart and soul are protected in her hands.
She knows what love is. He does not yet.
His fear keeps her at bay.
His abuse sings don’t touch my pain.
He wants to own or control it.
But not to surrender.
