Swimsuit + Accessories

A few weeks ago, I boarded a plane with seven girlfriends and headed to Palm Beach for three days of sunshine, long lunches, boutique shopping, and uninterrupted conversations.

Don’t get me wrong…I adore my husband and my children. But there is something deeply restorative about spending time with women who knew you before the carpool line, before the endless to-do lists and before your identity became intertwined with everyone else’s needs.

I think girls trips are one of the most underrated wellness practices.

For a few days, the mental tabs close. You remember what it’s like to finish a thought, to laugh until your stomach hurts, to order another round of drinks or dance on a few tables (sue me).

It’s not selfish. It’s self-care. And Palm Beach might just be the perfect place to practice it. Here’s some of my recommendations…

Dress + Accessories

If Palm Beach had a personality it’s: The Colony.

Pink-and-green interiors. Palm trees swaying outside your window. Morning coffee in the courtyard. Poolside lunches and a branded golf cart. SAY LESS.

It’s charming and glamorous without feeling stuffy. We had a big group and the Bungalows were perfect. (PSA: we flew into Miami and rented a sprinter through ICON to make the 1 hour drive a little easier —highly recommend).

My favorite ritual each morning was sitting by the pool with some coffee and eye patches debriefing the night before with the girls. No agenda or rushing, just sunlight, fresh air, and nowhere to be!

White & Gold Outfit

  1. Buccan

  2. Le Bilboquet

  3. HMF for cocktails

  4. Sant Ambroeus

  5. Renatos

  6. Late night dancing at Cucina

  7. Swifty’s at the (for lunch)

  8. Pura Vida (for lunch)

My Favorite Eye Patches

  • Lounge by the pool—our favorite pastime

  • The Colony had the cutest beach set-up complete with pink fringe umbrellas and beach service.

  • SHOP:

    • Worth Ave is in walking distance to The Colony and offers stores like Chanel, Pucci, The Real Real, Louis Vuitton & more!

    • Royal Poinciana-YSL, Cartier, Staud, Zimmerman

  • Take a boat and cruise the intercostal + pit stop on peanut island. Grab sandwiches from Buccan Sandwich Shop or Le Bibloquet market for the boat.

I think that’s because girls trips remind us that we’re not just mothers, wives, business owners, caregivers, or the person who keeps everyone’s lives running smoothly.

We’re women who deserve joy, rest and friendship.

Women who deserve a few days of sunshine and laughter without feeling guilty about it.

Palm Beach was beautiful.

But the real luxury wasn’t the hotel, the restaurants, or the shopping. It was having four uninterrupted days to remember who I am when nobody needs me.

That’s a ritual worth making room for.

Share this with someone you’re taking with you to Palm Beach!!
