In our time working in the startup investment space here, we believe the biggest hurdle stopping regional investors from committing more to Cambodia and the emerging startup scene in the Mekong region (Myanmar, Thailand, Laos etc.), is that they do not have middle ground options for service providers that can give them all the information they need to make their first few investment deals (VC, PE or impact), before they decide to invest in putting a team on the ground at a cost of circa $30k a year.
