Hey Guys,
Here’s some cool stuff I thought you’d like:
This was a project I started last year, more as an homage to the video game Diablo than anything, but it has been sitting on my hard drive for some time now so I thought I should share it. Aside from releasing it under another moniker (Copper & Oak) I am not sure what to do with this one.

My wife Debs has just finished reading Remarkably Bright Creatures so we sat and watched the Netflix movie of it starring Sally Field and Lewis Pullman. I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet and feel good nature of the film. Sally Field was exceptional!
Last time I checked Phoebe Bridgers had taken a hiatus so I was super happy to hear her new release, Lost Weekend.
One of my biggest gripes with writing music for a living is that it has almost completely removed the joy I have for listening to music for fun. Whenever I put music on I switch into work mode. One of the only ways I have found to circumvent this is to put music on that I would (almost) never write. This is how I stumbled on this perfect summer playlist of Bossa Nova.
I learned about a sub-genre of music that I did not know about this week, Cosmic Horror. It feels like a world that I have frequented without realising it. I do think the use of the word “horror” is a bit misleading.
When I am out and about I have started trying to use Obsidian as my note taking app and I absolutely LOVE it! You can also connect it to Claude to get some really cool insights into your thought patterns…it spotted my magpie mind instantly!
With a little help from my son, I have decided on the chapter that my Warhammer 40k Space Marine army will be…drum roll…the White Scars. I personally think they look the coolest and it will be refreshing not painted them blue, green or black for once. I do wonder though, how they keep their armour clean when they are fighting in so many wars…
I promised myself I would keep these to 8 things because I was born on the 8th day of the 8th month in the 8th decade so it’s my lucky number and it’s apparently a good thing.
Thanks for reading, I hope you are doing well,
