I’ve been walking more and more since I bought a walking pad for my desk setup. Recently, I’ve been getting into Japanese Walking: www.novanthealth.org/healthy-h… I’ve been Japanese Walking using an interval timer while I walk around my yard, but it’s been impossible to do while working at my desk. I needed a method that would allow me to mindlessly walk at…
TFW you knock your AirPod out of your ear while walking on the treadmill and you watch it hit the belt and shoot across the room like it was loaded into a railgun
TFW you get a self-help book and it has a quiz at the beginning. You take it and it tells you “Hey man, I can’t help you, you should talk to a professional” 😅
I miss when you could close an app, open it a few seconds, minutes, or hours later and it was still where you left it instead of reloading for ✨engagement ✨ or whatever
Sometimes you get an update on something that you invested in, you see new investor names listed and you’re like… I beat one of my heroes to the punch on this one? Wow. And what a vote of confidence in the product!
Today I discovered by accident that in Apple Music, if you swipe on the name of the currently playing track on the Now Playing screen, you can skip to the Next/Previous track.
It’s not every day that you hear a cover that is so good that it redefines the song forever. Here’s Desert Rose by Faouzia www.youtube.com/watch Faouzia sang this song at a charity event in front of Sting and he said he’ll never sing it again, it’s hers.
Well this is one of the nerdiest things I’ve ever seen, and I love it. Laser engraved coasters for notable chips from computing history: www.evilgeniuslabs.org/macrochip…
Spent 2 hours in a very long line today, in the hot sun to sign a petition to recall our horrible Louisiana governor. When we left, the line was just as long as when we got there, if not longer. The people of Louisiana have had it.
I just had the best focaccia of my life at Orwasher’s. I could tell it was different from every other focaccia I’ve ever had in my life the moment that I picked it up. The first bite immediately ruined all other foccacias for me. Highly recommended.
We just used our emergency fund for the first time. We funded it years ago and never touched it, just put it in high-yield savings. The emergency payment cost less than the interest we’ve made on the money we initially put in. On a bad day, at least that part feels good!
John Ternus has been rumored to be Tim Cook’s replacement at Apple for awhile now. Tim Cook can’t leave Apple fast enough in my opinion. As for Ternus, I didn’t really have an opinion about the guy until tonight. I was watching the 50th anniversary Apple Event from the Computer History Museum just now and I noticed him sitting there in the front row next to Hair Force One.…
It turns out that the best way to get Google to approve something is to get a company that pays Google a lot of money to contact them on your behalf. It was like my application went into a black hole for 2 weeks until they got involved… then Google approved everything in a day. Nice.
An Irish customer did a podcast episode and mentioned Stunning as one of the tools he uses. It’s pretty fun to hear an Irish guy repeatedly say Stunning in his accent 😊
I do not recommend trying to rip into a foil pack of Sudafed with your mouth, especially while you’re in a hurry to leave the house for a dental appointment (where you have to open your mouth wide basically the entire time). You just might slash your lip from top to bottom on the foil and start bleeding everywhere. Thank goodness for styptic pencils.
Working out regularly in your 40s is great because you never quite know if you’re hurting because you’re falling apart or because you’re building muscle
Turns out, my Express Replacement iPhone that was overnighted to me via FedEx but still arrived 2 days late was late because… some FedEx employee stole it! I received a suspiciously light box today. Totally empty. Cool cool cool cool FedEx is the WORST
