It sounds like snow globes will be trending for holiday window displays this year. Here are a few examples to inspire you, for those of you considering the theme:
There are primarily three ways to create a snow globe effect; window decals, hand-painted art or a 3-dimensional creation. Pro tip: if you plan to have your windows hand-painted, the time to locate and book an artist is now!
Another way to simulate a snow globe is to create a reverse effect on the window…
You may have seen something similar created in a heart-shape for Valentine’s Day displays. For the holidays, I would use red and green dots or simply use white dots (or small snowflakes) to create a snowy scene. Pro tip: add in some shiny or mirrored dots to make the installation more eye-catching.
I invite you to tag @ RetailDetails on social media or email images of your retail store displays. I love sharing creative merchandising to help retailers stay inspired.

Retailers and vendors are really excited for the Summer NY NOW show!
New ownership of the century-old, wholesale trade show promises to bring buyers back to New York City through a fresh approach to the iconic, biannual show.
NY NOW takes place at the Javits Center on August 2 - 4, 2026 — the same dates at the Shoppe Object show, which is held nearby. What’s the next show you will be attending? Let us know in the comments.
With many new and returning exhibitors on board for the Summer show at the Javits Center, I expect to see steady growth for the NY NOW show during the next few show seasons. It has always been one of my very favorite shows! ~Becky Tyre
