Rental Equipment Register (RER) reports on news, analysis and market updates for decision makers and purchasers responsible for equipment rental centers, and construction/industrial equipment dealerships.
The company said rental segment revenue’s increase is because of significant customer demand, which drove continued expansion of the company’s operation location footprint and an increase in the size of the company’s managed fleet.
United Rentals posted $4.410 billion in second quarter 2026 revenue compared to $3.943 billion in the second quarter of 2025, an 11.8-percent increase.
Thirty-nine percent of respondents reported that the second quarter beat internal budgets, with 18 percent seeing worse-than-expected results and 43 percent said results were essentially in line with their expectations.
The new location, in the municipality of Oyster Creek, Texas, a few miles from Freeport, expands the company’s footprint along the Texas Gulf Coast and positions the company closer to the customers and facilities it serves every day.
Equipment rental revenue for the quarter was $2,529 million, compared to $2,334 million in the year-ago fiscal fourth quarter, for an 8.0-percent increase.
