The Cost of Progress
Every advancement has a cost. The Industrial Revolution meant more people could afford basic things, but with factories came pollution and water use that took its toll on surrounding communities. Today we face another advancement with the associated costs, and it probably isn't what you're expecting!
Have we become so accustomed to living in homes that don't support our well-being that they have become "normal"? It's time to look through a different lens and really ask, "Is this home or workplace support my health and well-being?" Join us in this episode as we start asking better questions about the places we spend 90% of our time in.
We live in a stressful time. With everything going on "out there" we have a lot to process on a daily basis. But we may be able to reduce some of those stressors by asking different questions.
The second element in the WELLbuilt system is Indoor Air Quality. Why does the air we breathe matter? Did you know that when particles (i.e. viruses, contaminants, chemicals etc) are small enough (PM2.5) they can penetrate our organs and cross the blood-brain barrier all by breathing them in!
