What a Charlie Chaplin quote from the 1940s can teach you about marketing in 2025 (and your unfair advantage):

“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity.”

Marketing used to mean staying on trend.

Now it means staying grounded while the ground keeps shifting.

Between AI disruption and global instability, the path to growth is anything but linear.

Your unfair advantage is HUMANITY.

🔹 Stay human-first. AI can write a headline. But it doesn’t know what your buyer feels at 2am.

🔹 Use AI as connective tissue. Let it speed up research, spot signals, automate the mundane.

🔹 Ship before it’s perfect. Perfect takes too long. And by the time you launch it, the market’s moved on. Done is better than dead-on-arrival.

Modern marketing might feel like it’s all about having the flashiest tech stack or a fully automated N8N flow spitting out content at scale.

But when you get to the root of it?

It’s still about being able to FEEL something... and helping others feel it too.

We can’t afford to lose touch with our empathy.

Not when attention is fragmented.

Not when audiences are overwhelmed, numb, and scrolling away.

If you want to cut through the noise:

Get real clear on who you’re speaking to, and let your humanity lead.

In your copy.

In your campaigns.

In your conversations.

What’s one human-centered marketing principle you’ll never outsource or automate? 👇
