Get the fuck outside

The problem with all our thinking to date is that no one has looked outside the adversarial paradigm. Of course, that’s where you’d start, naturally. But we’ve pinball-bounced off the walls all around inside it for 5,000 to 10,000 years, at this point—and nothing has worked.

Nothing.

Oh! But BUDDHISM, TAOISM, STOICISM, NON-DUALISM!!!”

Naw. I’m not talking about the shit people come up with after retreating to abstract, pseudo-spiritual, pseudo-philosophical headspaces where they fantasize like pretentious children.

I’m talking about real-fucking-world problems and solutions.

All you need to do is listen to the language of advocates of any -ism, “spiritual” or “secular”, and you’ll hear it plain as day:

If only people would such-and-such, and if only people were such-and-such, then it would work!”

Bullshit.

Patent bullshit, in fact, because they don’t say it because it’s grounded in reality, experience, and real-world testing, but because, for completely different and always obscure—occult—reasons, they’re devoted to their precious “solutions” in exactly the same way cultists are devoted to theiruniversal truths”.

No one can say that there is no -ism that will ever work. That would be the same idiocy as saying there is one that will work, and work better than all the rest.

Everyone does need to recognize, though, that we’ve never explored the real-world spaces outside adversariality.

Adversariality is not necessarily a fact, let alone a given, because it’s a matter of framing the problem.

You frame a problem before you start thinking it through.

You do that—whether you realize it or not. And that means you can do it one way or another, if you’re aware.

The framing is exactly what enables you to think about it in the first place.

Once framed, there are of course many themes and variations on a theme inside that framing—also called a paradigm.

But what if the way you framed the problem guarantees you’ll never find a real solution to it within that paradigm?

And if you’re dead fucking clueless about the fact that you framed it in a certain way, then you’re dead fucking toast, aren’t you?

And if you’re dead fucking clueless about alternative ways to frame it, then it’s even worse, because not only are you dead fucking toast, but you know it.

Which sucks.

Ignorance might not actually result in bliss, but it sure feels like it at the time.

And what is the alternative to adversarial framings which result in adversarial paradigms in which you try to find “solutions” to the problems that the paradigm itself created and guarantees?

Well, what the fucking fuck do you think Jesus was talking about?

Not the bullshit, bastardized reinterpretation of Jesus’ ideas that the “Church” has forced on us.

No.

I’m talking about what Jesus originally said and meant, to the extent we even know what it was.

That extent is enough—well more than enough—to get the gist and start exploring it for ourselves.

Only hypocrites, who have no fucking intention of solving real problems, get gnarled up in “but what if...” and “but how can we be sure...” useless, hypothetical bullshit.

People who actually live like adult human beings, who take action, who do shit, get it wrong, figure it out, and find out what works and what doesn’t, can answer those questions... because they already have answered those questions in the real world... because they care about what the fuck is really going on—not just looking like they do.

But you don’t have a fucking clue about any of that, do you?

I highly recommend getting one.
