... and a renewed commitment.

I've been away a long time, back on the horse again now!

In my final video diary I attempt to summarise the important innovations introduced by the Brazilian Presidency, that I believe have the potential to transform global climate governance.

Holding the COP in the capital of the Amazon region shines an intense spotlight on the critical need to protect tropical forests and the indigenous communities who know how to do so.

Here is my (almost) daily record of the historic COP30 Climate Summit, held in the capital city of Amazonia this November

Day 9 & 10 at COP30 - reflections on how Citizen's Assemblies might unlock deep change, the Mutirao and the Global Ethical Stocktake, and a brief foray into food systems - more on that tomorrow.

Day 8 at COP30 - we are seeing a turning point not only in green energy and attention to nature protection, but in ethical attitudes and the worldview behind policymaking and climate action.

On day 5 at COP30, some reminders of the impressive creative work that is (I feel entitled to hope) building a different, more positive future - not forgetting the formidable challenges we are facing.

On my second day here, some reflections on what might be needed to bring the unity we will need to navigate the storm ahead of us.

In transit to Belém. Here are some further thoughts about what I understand to be at play at COP30. It is already feeling like some kind of watershed - I am alive with anticipation!
