Four looks Friday

I am writing this on the plane back from La. We just went for a fun job that comes out later this year. I honestly shot these looks last week so I could get them up in time for Friday and usually when I cram too many looks into one week I feel uninspired by my clothes. This week I just felt like I was able to crank them out. I don’t know if it’s because I got a few new pieces that it inspired new looks but I’ll take it. Maybe you can relate but whenever I buy a new piece of clothing it does help me reimagine pieces I've had in my closet for a while. I don’t know what that phenomenon is but it is a real thing. It is not a reason to constantly buy new things but when you do it is a fun side effect.

I wore this skirt in a recent post and it is one my mom had for a long time that I always kept but didn’t often wear. I have been reaching for it a lot more now and it is a good reminder to hold onto things you love even when they’re not “in style” per se. I added a vintage Adidas t-shirt and a fun belt. I also absolutely love these little liffner clutches. They come in good colors and patterns and this leopard one is my favorite.

My boyfriend recently got these shorts and I really love the way they look on him so I had to try them out. I added this rugby style shirt by Sea New York and a pointy little white heel. I styled it with one of my favorite purses that I have talked about many times on here. It is by Connor Mcknight and it just holds so much stuff and looks good with almost any look. This is a super easy comfortable look that is easy to recreate.

Okay, these High Sport pants might be my new favorite pants. They come in yellow and black as well which I also love. I can’t find them online anywhere but I linked some that are insanely good as well. I styled them with a vintage Jean Paul Gautier biniki top and a really airy brown button down by Donni. Red and yellow is just a top color combo to me so whenever I am wearing something red I am always inclined to grab something yellow to style with it. I was talking to a friend yesterday about how I think my four favorite colors that always work in an outfit are red, brown, blue, and yellow. It’s good to have colors you know you can always count on when you’re in a rut.

I am someone who often writes off an all black look because it feels too simple or obvious. Although, whenever I see someone wearing a good all black look I am reminded it is all about the pieces you’re wearing. This is just a reminder to myself to allow myself to wear an all black look because it can be really good. This dress is by Soeur who makes really nice dresses and I shortened it just slightly because I am short so I like the way it hits like this better. I added a fun Sea New York beaded bag and these sandals that are truly like you’re not wearing shoes. This is a look I could easily throw on and it could be for going somewhere super casual or more dressed up.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I throughly enjoy putting them together each week. xx
